FAQs about the Eggless Coconut Cookies
Can I make these coconut cookies without clarified butter?
Yes! While clarified butter (or ghee) adds a unique richness, you can use regular unsalted butter for a similar taste. Just make sure it’s melted and cooled before adding.
Is clarified butter vegan?
Clarified butter (or ghee) is not vegan because it’s derived from animal milk. However, it is considered lactose-free since the milk solids, which contain lactose, are removed during the clarifying process.
Can I use sweetened shredded coconut?
Yes, but keep in mind that sweetened coconut will make the cookies slightly sweeter. If you prefer a less sweet, classic flavor, stick with unsweetened coconut. We used the Microingredients Organic Shredded Coconut Flakes for this recipe
How can I store these coconut cookies?
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They’re perfect for easy, tasty snacking anytime!
Can I freeze these cookies?
Absolutely! Freeze the cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Let them thaw at room temperature before enjoying.
