FAQs
Can I use any type of flour to make this recipe?
You can use your favorite flavor to make the Ube Coconut Energy Balls. We used almond flour because it is lighter, fiber-rich and blends well. You can use oat flour, rice flour, or your favorite gluten free flour.
Can I add protein powder into this recipe?
You can add one or two scoops of your favorite protein powder -whey or plant-based. This won’t change the texture of the dough as the portion is small.
How can I store these Ube Coconut Energy Balls?
Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to two weeks so the balls do not melt. I am not keen on freezing these Ube Coconut Balls as they are meant to be consumed fresh. If you wish, you can store them in the freezer for three months. Don’t forget to thaw frozen coconut balls before serving.
